Macau is a Special Administrative Region of China and is located on the Western Pearl River Delta by the South China Sea. It is officially known as the " Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China". 1. The Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral

     Ruins of St. Paul's is especially the remaining of the Renaissance St. Paul's Cathedral which was devastated by several natural calamities over the years. It is a 26 meter high structure built by granite and bronze masonry and was built by Jesuit which was used earlier as a Catholic Church. It was one of the most important architecture for the Portuguese Peoples living around the world. And also, it is considered as one of the seven wonders of the Portuguese communities living across the world. It is located at Santo Antonio on the mainland of Macau and is now a well known landmark in Macau. Back in 2005, the Ruins of St Paul's was officially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

2. A-Ma Temple

     The A-Ma Temple is a Buddhist temple devoted to the Chinese Sea Goddess Mazu which is worshipped by the Seafarers and the Fisherman's. It was built in 1488 and is located in Sao Lourenco, Macau. It is one of the few oldest stone structures present in Macau. Recently, the temple was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. And most importantly, it is widely believed in Macau that the name of Macau is derived from the name of the A-Ma Temple.
The A-Ma Temple, despite being a religious spot it is widely visited by thousands of tourists each year because of the aesthetics of its stone statues and and the rock-stone architecture of the temple. The whole temple complex is divided into six different sections for easy accessibility. The sections are- Gate Pavilion, the Prayer Hall, the Memorial Arch, the hall of benevolence, the Hall of Guanyin and Zhengjiao Chanlin. You can experience the striking view of the rock-stone statues & architecture of the temple and can have a spectacular view of the bay area from the temple. 

3. Senado Square

     Senado Square is a paved public square located in the central area of the Macau Peninsula. It's also known as ' Largo do Senado' in Portuguese. The Senado Square is spreaded across 3,700 square meters of land. It's a historical site where there is numerous old European style buildings which were built during the Portuguese reign in the state of Macau. These buildings are now been protected and recently in 2005, the Senado Square was declared as the UNESCO World Heritage site which protects these buildings to be demolished or renovated.      The Macau Giant Panda Pavilion is a Zoo located inside the Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane, Macau. The pavilion, besides housing the Giant Pandas, it is also home to some exhibition areas, play area and gift shops & is spreaded across 3000 square meters of land. This is a very popular destination for tourists in Macau because of the huge presence of the Giant Pandas. 5. The Macau Tower

     The Macau Tower is originally known as the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center. It is a 338 meter tall structure and is located in Se, Macau. It was made with a budget of 100 million US dollars and was completed in 2001. The Tower was built by the Craig Moller architects and is now one of most famous landmarks in the whole state of Macau. It's a mixed use skyscraper and there are restaurants, shopping malls, theaters, skywalk facility etc inside the tower.      Coloane Island is a scenically very beautiful Island which is located on the southern part of the Macau Peninsula. 8. Nam Van Lake

     The Nam Van Lake is a man-made lake located on the southernmost part of the Macau Peninsula. In Chinese Nam Van means South Bay. The Nam Vam lake was once a part of the Praira Grande Bay which was later on cut off due to making Dr Sun Yat Sen Causeway over the Bay by land-filling.
